The Nova Scotia program accepts lamps (lights) from all sectors: residential, institutional, commercial, and industrial, regardless of the brand. There is no charge to return accepting designated lights at any of the program’s return collection facilities, although quantity limits may apply.

In 2021, Divert NS undertook a roadside litter audit at 75 sites across Nova Scotia. This survey provided a comprehensive review of litter accumulation to help expand our knowledge on litter types and occurrences.
These findings will be used to create a campaign that reminds Nova Scotians of the impacts of littering and to reduce littering behaviour. For more information, please click here
